Shaped by Precision and Form

A sequence of sweeping arches defines The Hazendal Hotel, giving the building its distinct architectural character. Set within a historic wine estate, the hotel sits quietly within the calm, expansive landscape of the region.

Citra was commissioned to construct the hotel’s curved arches, delivering the precision needed to realise such a striking and consistently repeated form.

The Hazendal Hotel’s identity is shaped by its sweeping, unified arches, which create a bold yet refined architectural expression. The geometry gives the building a distinctive silhouette within the Winelands, balancing sculptural ambition with a calm, grounded presence.

Realising the hotel’s complex curvature required a construction approach capable of maintaining consistent accuracy across every arch. The result is a series of arches that feel intentional, precise, and integral to the building’s architectural character.
